Mature Adult Tech Training Difference – Class Info and Structure
What we have done at M.A.T.T. is combine multiple Apple Skill classes into one comprehensive and easy to understand (and retain!) class.
Mature Adult Tech Training classes are small – so that each student receives individual attention. Our classes are also relaxed, fun and directed towards adults 50+ wanting to learn how to manage their smart devices and computer.
M.A.T.T. Addresses Tech Training Challenges – Making Training Simple and Fun
The challenge with tech training classes is holding interest of the students – and student retention of the info received in the classes.
Based on 15+ years of teaching these classes – Daphne Lee has formulated a curriculum that flows. Each skill topic leads into the next topic. Learning and understand go step by step incrementally.
The 2nd and 3rd sessions begin with a Review – to make certain all previous knowledge has been retained.
Bottom Line: Rather than piecemeal narrowly focused topic classes that leave it to the student to make subject matter integrations– M.A.T.T. students receive a comprehensive Big Picture understanding of iPhone, iPad, Android etc.
Big Picture Understanding of Technology
“If you focus only on small details, you never understand the Big Picture.” – Daphne Lee, Tech Trainer
Why is a Big Picture teaching approach so important for tech training? Because once you understand the overall logic flow of the whole device – it is easy to add functionality and apps.
Once students leave a M.A.T.T. class – they are able to confidently navigate the use of their mobile device. Including all the functions of the device, such as Photos, Email, Contacts, Calendar, Settings.
